2007 DOUBLE CENTURY RIDE FEATURES JOINT EFFORTS BY THE FRESNO CYCLING CLUB, THE AMATEUR RADIO ASSOCIATION OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA AND THE MOUNTAIN AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
Fresno Cyling Club organizers used the combined public safety services of Amateur Radio Association of Central California and Mountain Amateur Radio Club hams to keep track of riders. The seven established rest stops were manned at the southern end by ARACC members while the northern points used the communications skills of MARC.
Riders from far and wide departed Base in Clovis at 0430 hours and ended Sunday morning at about 0130.
The station consisted of two 2-meter transceivers monitoring several repeaters in order to cover the entire route. Our sincere thanks must go to the trustees of these repeaters for making this exercise a success.

ARACC Base operators included Bud/KI6KAP, Kim/KF6ZSW and Gene/KI6JCX.
Bud/KI6KAP also reported from Rest Stop 1 at Orange Cove.

Gene/W7POR set up and worked the Base Station in the early hours.

Further up the course, Taylor/W2LDS checked in from Rest Stop 2 at Winton Park.
